Experience the vibrant spirit, rich cultural heritage, breathtaking landscapes and unforgettable traditions of Northeast India with Traviator’s Hornbill Festival 2026 Tour Package. This carefully curated 6 Nights / 7 Days Assam and Nagaland tour is designed for travellers who want to experience Northeast India beyond the usual sightseeing circuit and discover the region through its wildlife, culture, traditions and local experiences.
Your journey begins in Guwahati, Assam, where you get an opportunity to explore the spiritual and cultural side of the region with a visit to the iconic Kamakhya Temple, followed by a memorable sunset cruise on the Brahmaputra River. As the sun sets over the river, the experience offers a beautiful introduction to the landscapes and atmosphere of Northeast India.
From Guwahati, the journey continues towards Kaziranga National Park, one of the highlights of Assam and an important wildlife destination. Here, the wilderness takes centre stage as you explore the national park through Elephant Safari and Jeep Safari. Surrounded by grasslands and natural landscapes, Kaziranga adds an exciting wildlife dimension to your Hornbill Festival holiday.
The journey then takes you from Assam into the hills of Nagaland, towards Kohima, the cultural heart of the state. Here, the focus shifts from wildlife to the fascinating traditions, heritage and cultural diversity of Nagaland.
The biggest highlight of the journey is the Hornbill Festival at Kisama Heritage Village. Often celebrated as one of Northeast India's most vibrant cultural gatherings, the festival brings together the rich traditions of Nagaland through colourful cultural performances, traditional music and dance, local craftsmanship, food and celebrations. It provides travellers with an opportunity to experience the diverse cultural heritage of Nagaland in an immersive setting.
Your Northeast India experience continues with a visit to Khonoma, a traditional Naga village known for its distinctive character, natural surroundings and strong community traditions. Away from the crowds of the festival, Khonoma offers a more intimate opportunity to experience village life and discover another side of Nagaland.
From the rivers and spiritual landmarks of Assam to the wildlife of Kaziranga and the hills, villages and cultural celebrations of Nagaland, this journey brings together some of the most distinctive experiences of Northeast India in one thoughtfully planned itinerary.
Whether you are a culture enthusiast, wildlife lover, photographer, adventure seeker or traveller looking for an authentic Northeast India experience, the Hornbill Festival 2026 tour with Traviator offers an opportunity to explore the region through experiences rather than simply ticking destinations off a list.
